Mountain Retreat was created to share with you the beauty of West Virginia in a unique way — primitive camping, hiking, and practicing yoga and mindfulness on privately owned open land surrounded by the mountains, open sky, woods, and beautiful sunrises on clear sky days.
This retreat is a private event (not open to the public). Therefore, to register you must email info@littlemountainyoga.com for a private link to register to join.

Depart by: Sunday, x at 10 am
Location: Private Residence located near Lost River State Park (exact location shared at registration)
NOTE: This location borders West Virginia’s Radio Quiet Zone which means there is not reliable (if any) cell phone service at the location. A hand held radio will be available in case of emergency.
Pricing: $319 per person*
*Price includes 5 meals and 2 snacks (2 dinners, 1 lunch, 2 breakfasts, 1 snack, water/tea), 3 yoga/meditation classes, a group hike, campfire + smores, rugged camp site + outhouse.

You have a sense of adventure
You enjoy camping and roughing it with new people you haven’t yet met
Using an outhouse or the woods as your bathroom sounds completely okay to you
You can go 2 days without showering (a bath house may be available at a local park)
You have basic camping supplies including:
Tent
Sleeping pad/Ground Pad
Sleeping Bag
NOTE: You MUST know how to put your tent together prior to arriving
You're okay with being in a remote location, in nature, and with the animals (bears, coyotes, snakes — there are rattlesnakes and copperheads in WV) whose land is their home.
You enjoy yoga and meditation
The idea of NO cell service for 48 hours is exciting to you
You like to have structure while also having unstructured time to yourself
this experience is NOT for you if…
You enjoy being in nature but don’t like the idea of being in the wilderness and sharing it with the animals, snakes, and critters
When you travel you need access to electricity, plumbing, and WIFI/cell service
You prefer to travel in a high traffic area surrounded by others outside of your group and not in open/isolated areas
You enjoy the luxury of a bed, bathroom, and shower
You need background noise to sleep
You don’t enjoy hiking
You prefer to travel or hike alone or with those who know (friends, family)
You don’t like bugs, critters, or knowing there are bears, snakes, and coyotes living in the woods around you
DISCLAIMER: This is West Virginia and people hunt and participate in recreation activities nearby (for example hunting and riding ATV’s). You may or may not hear gun shots in the distance at any hour. Because it isn’t hunting season not much hunting is going on. You’re most likely to hear an occasional ATV.
