Private Yoga Therapy Sessions with Nancy

Yoga Therapy offers many possibilities for individuals to have a yoga practice that is uniquely suited to their own personal physical, emotional and spiritual needs. We all have imbalances and some of them become chronic conditions. Yoga therapy uses the tools of yoga (breath, grounding, alignment) to holistically restore health and balance in our body, mind and soul.

The process begins with a private consultation with Nancy. The consultation allows time for the therapist to thoroughly discuss your needs and to gain a better understanding of who you are. Nancy will view your structural alignment (with an option for digital photography) and then guide you through a series of gentle movements and yoga postures to determine flexibility, mobility and strength. You will leave your yoga therapy session with some practical tools to assist you in bringing balance back to your mind and body.

Nancy will then develop a home practice tailored to suit your specific needs and goals. At your second appointment, you will be given a visual diagram of your personalized home practice and Nancy will teach and lead you through it. You are encouraged to follow your home practice regularly and you are welcome to contact Nancy with any questions or concerns. Depending on your needs, follow up sessions may be necessary in order to revise and update your personal practice. As your body shifts so will your home practice.
